“Marco’s teaching is the best that I have seen, and I am a qualified former teacher. Why do I believe this? While other reviewers have commented on the course specifics, I’d like to explain why I believe this (and Marco’s other courses) are so excellent and why you would be wise to invest in them. When I started my own art journey I took many classes and courses. Eventually, due to moving house so much, I ended up relying on online classes. Youtube is a great resource and, despite discovering Marco’s videos early on, I found myself believing that I should follow many different and highly regarded teachers. However, this really only resulted in confusion and overwhelm. All the online art teachers have their own style and nuances. But, while there are a few excellent teachers online, I always found myself coming back to Marco’s videos for clarity. This is because it is clear that Marco has deeply considered what the student needs to know, exactly when they need to learn it during the lesson or course. He gets straight to the point without added fluff, and also perfectly balances the explanation and demonstration aspects of art teaching. I suspect a lot of this ability is down to Marco’s own thoughtful nature, which comes across in his teaching, but also he has acknowledged that, despite being a very successful and accomplished artist and illustrator, he did not go to art school. This reminds me of how experts often state that one of the reasons Shakespeare was such a great writer was because he did not go to university. While university can be beneficial, it can also channel an individual’s thinking into a fairly narrow constraint and instil a more rigid paradigm on a young person. Without this (if you are blessed with a searching mind, self-discipline and determination), you are more free to make your own discoveries, learn from a wider pool of others with which you resonate, which can be much more enriching. This allows you to develop a deeper understanding of your craft, because you’ve been forced to think about it rather than simply being fed it. I feel that Marco has excellently consolidated this breadth of understanding in art and the needs of the student, which comes across in Marco’s teaching and is perfect for beginners, experienced beginners, and experts alike.”

“Marco Bucci in terms of teaching has been a very interesting teacher and his great virtues is in delivering videos of greater accessibility on the youtube platform in relation to the fundamentals of art around his painting skills, no doubt that he explains so clearly for topics as complex as art that speaks very well about him.
