This is an excellent course to help take you from the basics to open up more advanced work with figure drawing. I had been looking at Marco's material on YouTube at the recommendation of one of my artist friends and like his approach. He announced this course just when I was starting to hit the beginner plateau in my own figure drawing. The loose approach and approachable breakdown gave me a clearer pathway to get from where I was to where I wanted to take my figure drawing. In particular, I had a couple of breakthrough insights facilitated by Marco's teaching in the course: * Gesture drawing was demystified and unlocked for me and is now a core part of my regular drawing practice (which I've now been sharing daily for almost a year in Marco's discord community) *Bridged the understanding of structural to artistic for anatomy. A lot of the anatomy I had learned before this class started with the structure and function and got too into the weeds with detail for my beginner level. The presentation here starts with big shapes and how they fit together and how to show them on the figure, which makes them more approachable to learn and provides a stronger foundation for the more detailed anatomy I was learning elsewhere. This really created the bridge from the box-and-cylinder figure to full anatomical figure that I was missing before taking these classes. For anyone who feels like Marco's teaching and insights click for you, this class is absolutely worth the time to go from beginner to a strong foundation you can build on and come back for review in figure drawing.

This course really improved my drawing. The way that Marco explains everything is easy to understand, and it's worth every penny. I highly recommend it!

There is nurturing and substance here. I return to completed chapters to refine my notes, analysis, and understanding. Mr. Bucci always has an uplifting enthusiasm and welcomed skill set. It's taking me longer than normal to finish because I have been applying what I learned to my drawing projects.

I love all of Marco's courses and, not surprisingly, he's the only one who ever managed to make me work through a whole figure drawing class, anatomy and all, by focusing on the most important parts and varying theory and practice in a way that makes it fun to follow along. I love his teaching style which is 100% helpful advice and theory and no nonsense!

Marco explains anatomy so well, his teaching methods are superb and fun at the same time. I highly recommend this course for every artist.

Awesome course. Enjoyed the use of Blender to explain certain concepts. Particularly liked the Gesture Drawing, Building Form and Anatomy for Artists sections.

I was looking to get back into drawing, as I hadn't drawn anything in a long time, and I'm so glad I took this class! I've learned so much. Marco does a fantastic job of guiding you through the different stages of figure drawing. You'll learn about gesture, anatomy, and design, with each lesson building naturally on the previous one. Even as a beginner, I never felt overwhelmed by the amount of information. The classes are well-paced, and I was amazed by how much progress I could already see in my drawings in such a short amount of time. What really clicked for me was the section on visualizing the body in 3D space. I also absolutely loved the anatomy section! I've bought quite a few anatomy art books in the past, but I've always found them a little overwhelming. Marco, however, manages to pack the anatomy lessons with so much valuable knowledge while making everything feel accessible and easy to understand. One thing I would have loved to see is a dedicated section on drawing hands and feet. Although Marco has some great YouTube videos covering these topics, I find that the classes are generally slower-paced and more guided, which I really appreciate. Hands and feet are also two of my biggest weaknesses, so I would have loved to explore them in more detail as part of the course. Overall, I absolutely loved this class and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their figure drawing skills, whether they're a beginner or simply looking to refresh their knowledge!
